听说
听说
Today I went to watch 听说 with some of the bears and other RSPHI-ers... To be frank, as a romantic love story, there is nothing novel about it. The narrative strategy is pretty much lying on a well-trodden path.
But, what struck me most are these few words that flashed on the screen towards the end of the movie (sorry ah, my Chinese not zai enough to capture the whole thing but roughly it means something like below):
"Love and dreams are miraculous. They don't need to be said or heard but can always be understood."
I feel it is so true but sometimes we all forget about this simple truth. We get carried away, saying and talking about our love for others and the dreams we want to pursue, but sometimes these things don't need to be expressed in words. Sometimes the things that you do will make those dreams and love felt more strongly than ever.
This links up with what I thought of when I made the name and rationale for "I hear U" event (U all must come down and support 6 months later ok?). I just want to challenge this question: is communication only possible through the five senses?
That's just some food for thought for tonight.
Now I am off to bed.
