1st post of the 2010!!!
Ho Ho Ho no more happy xmas, now is 哈皮牛耳 to 阿惹比八敵! Ok another lame joke from your truely. Welcome back XMM! now we shall wait for the DLR to come back as well, cant wait to see all of you on the 4th Jan =)If you are looking 4ward to another inspiring speech you can stop reading now haha. The reason why i am posting this at 7 am in the morning is because i juz came back from my 1 day work and i waiting for my instant noodle to be ready. Well since you bothered to read till here i guess you want to know what happened right? yes yes i shall tell all of you, who are excitedly reading on right now.
The place i worked at is called alcova, i am quite amazed at how atas(high class) that place is, partly because when i googled it, all it tells me is that it is next to the multi-storey carpark. So i went there in my dark jeans and long sleeves, wondering what sort of 3rd rate restuarant it might turn out to be. I almost missed it if not for the super big neon signboard with a very classy "ALCOVA".
Amused and taken back, i hopped swiftly as my watch indicate that i should. It was not too hard to find the supervisor and he sent me to the sky bar to help out there. Intro intro intro and finally off to work. It was not too tough, except on the legs. So as not to bore you all any further, i will juz mention the parts that is worth any entertainment value.
Staff 1: Cindy
She is eloquent, displayed good social skills and knows her stuffs. I was etched with a good impression of her as she guided me along here and there. Sounds like those mature and demure for her age kind right? (shes 19) Who would had expected her to make a burp that is as loud as the fireworks, yup and she is not shy abt it. Night went by as i watched her "funny actions" revealed 1 by 1, along with how almost everything irritates the crap out of her. So much for 1st impression... she makes me feel like jia xin is quite demure by the end of the night.
Staff 2: Chris
This guy is a quite a mean fella but funny nevertheless. Did i mention that the Alcova was hosting a singles event? (matchmaking) The host was downstairs in the restuarant so the sky bar was quite empty initially. Thus finally, human souls started to appear... small groups walked in slowly and start to fill the place up. "Hi welcome, would you like a drink" is a waiter's standard opening. There was this lady, who was by herself, and she told its ok when i approached her, so i stood back and found chris approaching me.
"Dont bother, she is a predator. See how she looking around? looking for prey one, confirm. You like that ask her will embarrass her la... how she go down the stage. Ah tell you, juz smile smile and talk to her if she talk to you 1st". Super mean right? hahah but i laughed because she is really looked like a predator hunting for prey, she was scanning every available male in the bar before deciding that all of them are taken and made her way down. ( Chris is not very mean actually, he give me raw fish sushi to eat during the night =))
Staff 3: Frank
Nice guy, i juz want to say the joke he made on the way home. We were in the transport vehicle and he was saying things like "ladies and gentlemen, pls fasten your seatbelt, we about to depart shortly to Paris". So other staffs were also playing along and one of them complained when will the food be coming. " Food is no problem sir, you want my left foot or my right foot" Ok it may not sound very funny now but it makes the entire minivan laugh like mad.
Oh look... my noodles getting super big from soaking for so long laio. Happy new year again! its time to eat and go to sleep, Adios~
