AVATAR

On this very date of 28th Dec, we (4 seniors + Kim Phong) visited the Cathay for a 3D experience of the Avatar movie.

The 3D effect is quite nice overall; immersing the audience (us) more into the movie, esp so with the flying branches / stuff 'slamming' into our faces. Personally, I like the part where the ashes float everywhere. I almost forgot that I'm just sitting in a cinema couch. o.O

To me, the other plus point is that the computer-generated effect of the movie is really good. This is to be experienced, for words cannot be expressed its WOW factor.

However, I'm not an action-movie-fan. If I was to watch online, I would have forwarded quite a number of scenes:p Plot-wise, Xin Ying & Kim Phong commented that it's rather similar to Pocahontas. But, oh well, we should have guessed as much, since Avatar narrates a tale about a man, who meets a lady and joins hands-in-hands with her to protect the land.

That aside, the movie is quite enetertaining, I guess. At least, I'm fascinated by the Na'vi's way of speaking. "I see you.."

On the last note, would you protect your homeland when a same situation occurs? (situation: evacuation put in place, so that others can mine the resources of your land)
That's something to ponder...
